The organisation was previously a transitionally recognised association.

The organisation has 3 branches, being:

  • the New South Wales Branch
  • the Queensland Branch, and
  • a National Branch, which takes in the remaining members where no other branch is established.

The affairs of the organisation are governed by the Federal Council, which is made up of delegates from each branch.

The organisation is also governed by a Federal Executive comprising the Federal Office Bearers, who are elected every 4 years. The Branches are governed by a Branch Council and Branch Executive.

All elections are conducted by the AEC.
